8 Real Housewives Who Are Actually Friends IRL

by Marenah Dobin

When I watch Real Housewives, I often wonder whether the relationships between the women are actually genuine. I just want to know how they really feel about each other. Would they hang out this much if the Bravo camera crew wasn't present? Are they actually friends? Sure, they are all contractually obligated to do photo shoots, attend each other's dinner parties, gossip at lunch, and go on vacations together, but what about when they are in between seasons? Do these women actually hang out? Which Real Housewives are actually friends in real life?

The Real Housewives are such integral parts of each other's lives at this point, but it's clear that some of them would never keep in touch if they didn't have to. And it's usually fairly obvious who actually likes each other enough to make off-camera plans. Some of the women became friends through being on the show and then there are others who have been friends for over 20 years — as they love to repeatedly say. Nevertheless, there's a difference between a showmance and genuine friendship, and the ladies below are the ones who are actually best friend status in real life.

1. Sonja Morgan & Ramona Singer

These two have one of the most entertaining friendships in Real Housewives history. They've even been referred to by the joint name Ramonja. From partying to defending each other in arguments, these two have each other's back in good times and bad. Plus, they've been friends for over 20 years.

2. Teresa Giudice & Dina Manzo

These two have a maintained a strong friendship through some pretty tough times. Plus, Dina is the godmother for Teresa's youngest daughter, Audriana. It doesn't get more real than that.

3. Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, & Shannon Beador

These three did not start off too well on Real Housewives of Orange County, but they are all get along famously now. If you follow any of them on Instagram, it's clear that they hang out all the time, whether their show is filming or not.

4. Kyle Richards & Bethenny Frankel

This seems like kind of an odd pairing since these two aren't even on the same show, but they've actually been friends for decades. Bethenny and Kyle met when Bethenny was a hostess at a restaurant in California and then Bethenny became Kyle's sister Kathy Hilton's assistant. They've been friends ever since.

5. Lisa Rinna & Eileen Davidson

Lisa and Eileen have know each other for decades through their soap opera pasts so it was perfect for them to join Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at the same time.

6. Kenya Moore & Cynthia Bailey

These two weren't always friends, but now they are besties. They hang out often and support each other's personal and business endeavors on social media.

7. Carole Radziwill & Bethenny Frankel

Carole was the only "new" girl Bethenny clicked with when she returned to Real Housewives of New York City, and that connection went beyond the show with these two hanging out and taking trips together.

8. Yolanda Foster, Brandi Glanville, & Kim Richards

This seems like a pretty unlikely trio. Yolanda is pretty prim and proper while Kim and Brandi are more eccentric, which actually makes them all a great trio. They all balance each other well and have each other's backs on and off screen.

Reality TV is basically known for messing with people's personal lives and affecting relationships in a negative way, but it seems like these ladies have really been able to maintain their genuine friendships no matter what happens on Real Housewives.
