Well, so much for keeping a low profile with the new year. According to TMZ (of course they have the story), Kanye West allegedly assaulted a man who threatened Kim Kardashian at a chiropractor's office in LA, after Kardashian called him and alleged that the man had called her a "n****r lover, stupid slut," and threatened to kill her.
Here's how it started: Kardashian was apparently entering the chiropractor's office in Beverly Hills as she was swarmed by photographers, and an 18-year-old man moved to help her get inside the building. As he did, he allegedly screamed in reference to the paparazzi, "f**k these fa**ot-ass n****rs." When Kardashian told him that it wasn't appropriate to use the n-word, the man turned on her, and told her, "F**k you bitch. Just trying to help you. Shut up n****r lover, stupid slut," and then allegedly yelled, "I will kill you, slut."
When Kardashian called West after the incident, the man — who continued to berate Kardasian as they walked in the building — allegedly screamed "f**k you n****r" when he realized she was speaking with West. West was, at this point, walking into the building, and when he met up with Kardashian, he punched the man in the face as Kardashian screamed, "we have it all on tape!"
The assault has reportedly been confirmed by the Los Angeles County Police Department:
On Monday, January 13th at approximately 12:15 PM, the Beverly Hills Police Department responded to the 8800 block of Wilshire Blvd. regarding a Misdemeanor Battery that just occurred at the location. The named suspect was identified as Kanye West by the victim and several witnesses. Mr. West had left the location prior to Officers arrival. As of this writing, BHPD Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation.
After the assault, West reportedly left in Kardashian's Mercedes SUV, while Kardashian took West's Lamborghini and proceeded to tell the paparazzi that the allegations were "ridiculous."
So, could West end up going to jail for this? Apparently, it's possible: West is still dealing with the aftermath of that incident last year when he assaulted a photographer at LAX, and, according to X17, the LAPD is taking this new assault "very seriously." The 18-year-old man is also intent on pressing charges against West, and TMZ reports that the case is being shifted over to the Los Angeles District Attorney's office for "possible prosecution."
On their part, Kardashian has confirmed she will launch a "counterattack" suit, by filing a police report for the alleged murder threat.
