It's been quite an eventful week for Adele, and she definitely deserves all of the attention she's getting. The British songstress debuted her highly anticipated album 25 on Friday. Then, on Saturday, Adele gave an amazing performance on Saturday Night Live . Amidst all of these major milestones, the "Hello" singer has been doing several interviews. Although she usually keeps mum about her personal life, Adele recently gushed about boyfriend Simon Konecki. In an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, she told the TV host that her and Konecki's relationship is "hopefully forever after." When asked if this is her "ultimate love story," she reportedly smiled and said, "I guess it is." This is such wonderful news! Adele explained,
Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that's so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now, that's what made me write about everything I've ever done, because I've got his love. I know that sounds a bit like I'm trying to write a Hollywood movie, but it's only because of him and because of our kid and stuff that I'm all right.
After plenty of heartbreak (if her music is any indication), it's great to hear that Adele is so happy with Konecki and their 3-year-old son Angelo. Incorporating these feelings into her music, Adele even wrote a few songs about Simon Konecki on 25, including the super-sweet track "Water Under The Bridge." She told the 60 Minutes host that Konecki is "in" a few songs, but not vocally, which clearly confirms the suspicions that he inspired her music.
Although I don't know Adele personally (but what a dream that would be!), I'm genuinely proud and happy for her. She is doing so well — not only debuting such heartfelt new music, but also coming back into the spotlight and really opening up about her life. All of this recent happiness is more than well-deserved, and I'm sure this won't be the last we hear about her and Konecki's epic love story.
