Gwen Stefani Shines Positive Light On Divorce

by Allyson Koerner

Going through a divorce isn't an easy thing, especially when you're famous and constantly in the spotlight. However, when it comes to the former lead singer of No Doubt, well, she's keeping focused on the positive. While chatting with Washington D.C.'s The Tommy Show Wednesday, Gwen Stefani hinted that Blake Shelton is a good thing that's come out of her divorce.

After being questioned about her divorce, The Voice coach discussed how she's still in shock over splitting with Gavin Rossdale. She revealed,

There's so many bad things. Oh my God. Like, I can't even believe it, like, I can't even believe it. But at the same time there are lots of good things and I do get to have a second chance, and I feel really, like, I have a lot of joy right now, I really do.

Speaking of having joy in her life, I can only imagine Shelton is part of the reason Stefani is so happy. Despite remaining somewhat mum about their relationship, the two are being even more open about things, like when they were spotted holding hands hours after the "Hollaback Girl" singer's rep confirmed the two are indeed dating. It sure looks and sounds like they're enjoying their time together.

As for Stefani's divorce, she admitted that she didn't want it to happen, but also thinks this is part of her journey in life. A lot of good has come from her divorce, including new material for music and also a relationship. She confessed,

In my life I've had two really bad heartbreaks and I've written some incredible music out of it and I feel so lucky to have that and to be able to share it and I feel like it's part of what I... contribute to the world and I feel really proud of that. There's always good things that come out of bad things.

So, is she referring to Shelton as one of those "good things"? It sure seems like it.
