How To Shop The H&M Black Friday Sale

Given how popular the affordable and stylish chain is, H&M can be a pretty exciting place to shop. Things are only going to get that much more intense Friday, Nov. 27, which is why I'm breaking down exactly how to shop the H&M Black Friday sale online and in-store like a boss. Whether you're ready to brave the crowds or plan on snagging all your deals from behind the safety of a computer screen, I've got you covered.

H&M's official Black Friday sales guide has yet to be released, but that doesn't mean you can't plan ahead. According to Stylecaster, H&M is already offering 60 percent off styles both online and in-store through Nov. 25. What does that mean? Their Black Friday deals are going to be even more insane. Last year, H&M offered the first 100 people in the store scratch offs with discounts up to $300 and also sold knits starting at $4.95. You can't even get a pumpkin spice latte for under $5!

For those intending to hit the stores, be advised that H&M's in-store official Black Friday doesn't actually start until Friday itself. In an awesome corporate move, Daniel Kulle, president of H&M’s North American operations, told Bloomberg, "In the tradition of Thanksgiving, H&M will close our U.S. stores on Thanksgiving Day, allowing our store teams to enjoy this time with their families and friends." Viva la family time and friendsgiving!

My online tips can be put into action right away, but until the official sales guide goes out, save my in-store tips for what I can only imagine will be a very long, but very fun Nov. 27.

Online

1. Take Advantage Of Pre-Black Friday

H&M decided to rock a solid pre-Black Friday sale online, and you can get up to 60 percent off eligible items like the cool textured leggings above. Heck yeah!

2. Know Your Sizes

If you're about to fill up your online cart, this is not the time to guess your size and hope for the best. Get out some measuring tape, grab a pal, and get properly measured so you know exactly what will fit.

3. Slow Down

Faux Fur Vest, $19.99, H&M

The frenzy of so many sale items can make it easy to just toss everything you remotely like into your cart. Take a breather. Try to visualize really wearing what you're purchasing (like the gorgeous pre-Black Friday sale vest above) and try to think of what clothes you already have that will match. If you can't think of more than one outfit combination, don't purchase it.

In-Store

1. Take Advantage Of Pre-Black Friday (Again)

Just like online, all H&M retail stores are currently offering 60 percent off pre-Black Friday eligible retail. If you really want to make sure you get what you're looking for (like this dreamy knit cardigan), call your local store to make sure they have it so you don't waste your time looking for it come Black Friday.

2. Sign Up For H&M's Newsletter

You can get the official H&M Black Friday ad the second it comes out by signing up for H&M's newsletter. Once it hits your inbox, you can create your plan of action!

3. Get Sleep And Set Several Alarms

Most H&M's holiday hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. which means you'll want to be lined up at the door between 4-5:30 a.m. to get in at the start. As soon as you achieve a post-Thanksgiving food coma, set an alarm, crawl into bed, and start dreaming of all the amazing deals you're going to score in the morning!
