Remember how Shia LaBeouf spent three days watching all of his movies in reverse order for a project titled #ALLMYMOVIES? How could you forget? Anyways, in a new interview with NewHive, Shia LaBeouf spoke out about watching his movies and (as you may have guessed if you saw the live stream) he loved watching The Even Stevens Movie. Who wouldn't? The 29-year-old actor felt so much joy from the overall experience and even dubbed it "humanizing." Reliving his days as Louis Stevens made him feel like he was surrounded by family. He said,
Yes it’s a film festival where you’re watching all of my movies, but a lot of this stuff — especially Even Stevens… the Even Stevens Movie was interesting, it’s all of our childhood. It’s mine and it’s yours. It wasn’t just me smiling like that. If you look at the freeze frames, everyone is smiling like wow, I remember Beans. I remember that stupid-ass song. We were all looking at our yearbook together and we’re all in the yearbook. It felt like family, we were sitting there like a high school class.
I couldn't have said it better myself. Who doesn't feel reminiscent and isn't immediately transported back to their childhood when watching Even Stevens? I don't know about you, but every time I'm lucky enough to re-watch an episode (sadly, that rarely happens), I feel like I'm back in middle school watching it with my family and friends. Seeing some of your favorite characters onscreen again is like flipping through a yearbook of old familiar faces. He's spot-on with that description. Also, the fact that LaBeouf talked about Beans specifically just makes me so happy. I mean, how could anyone forget about Beans?
Clearly, Even Stevens is so timeless that even LaBeouf felt a range of emotions when viewing the 2003 made-for-TV movie. The actor walked away from the theater feeling so much joy, and who doesn't feel that when watching the Disney Channel Original Movie? It's refreshing to hear how much he enjoyed the experience. As he said, "I just know if I can explain a feeling, I feel lighter today. I feel love today."
That's exactly what fans feel, too, every time they catch some Even Stevens or hear a cast member talk about it the way LaBeouf does.
