Ah, the early 2000s surely were a time of epic celebrity hook-ups and break-ups. One of the most devastating moments of my young adulthood was when Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears broke up, because they were the apex of pop culture love and superstardom. Like, how could any celebrity couple ever match their impact on pop culture? Well, it actually didn't take too long. That same year, 2002, Jennifer Lopez started dating Ben Affleck and a very important celebrity merge occurred with Bennifer. I loved J. Lo and Affleck together, so when they broke up, I was disappointed. And now I wonder how life would be if they'd actually stayed together.

Honestly, this question has popped up in my mind quite a bit lately, considering Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their separation back in June. I know, it's sad and unfortunate, but the world of celebrity gossip has very little time for sympathy, because people are selfish creatures who love to imagine "What if?" And that is definitely the case when it comes to Lopez and Affleck. What if they didn't break up in 2004? How would the pop culture sphere be different? Well, I am here to answer these very important questions.

They Would Have Really Beautiful Babies

These two procreating would definitely spawn some of the cutest Hollywood babies ever. I can imagine a kid with an amazing smile, golden skin and perfectly chocolate-colored hair.

We Would Be Exposed To Even More Voyeuristic Music Videos

J. Lo loved being the spotlight and Affleck seemed to love showing off his hot girlfriend. The "Jenny from the Block" video is LEGENDARY, if only because they flaunted their ridiculously good looking love in all of our faces.

Casper Smart Would Just Be Another Dancer

Sorry, Casper, I know you and J. Lo are maybe back together and all that, but if she didn't notice you, you probably would just be another dancer. That's great and all, but being Lopez's boyfriend definitely added a few plusses on his resume.

Bennifer 2.0 Wouldn't Have Happened

Garner and Affleck were married for 10 years and had three children together. It's tough to imagine all of that going away — it's even tougher to imagine a Lopez and Affleck relationship that lasted 13 years — but if Bennifer 1.0 stayed together, that'd be the case.
