Twirl Power Skirt, 80, Modcloth

This below-the-knee midiskirt with a satin-like finish is perfect for a holiday party, and the length will definitely help keep you warm.

Pairing a midiskirt — or any skirt, really — with a sweater will help give you yet another piece that provides warm. This sweater with lace detailing is totally festive for this time of year as well.

T-Strap Pumps

The Zest Is History, $45, Modcloth

Personally, I love a t-strap year around, but the covered toe of these will help a bit in keeping your toes warm. While they definitely aren't booties, if paired with tights, you'd be totally good to go.

Outfit Idea #2

Full Length Dress

Badgley Mischka Glitz Gown, $90-$100, Rent The Runway

Save a buck and look fab! This gorgeous Badgley Mischka gown from Rent the Runway is perfect for a black tie affair. If you've got a fancy party to attend, this dress is ideal. Plus, the length will help keep your legs warm. Just add a coat, and you're all set!

Outfit Idea #3

Black Mini Dress

Free People Mary Jane Fit and Flare Dress, $75, Belk

When most people think of party dresses, they envision a mini-dress, and who am I to rob them of this? A great mini-dress is perfect for a party, and you can totally warm it up with the next items.

Over-the-Knee Boots

Steve Madden Gorgeous Over-the-knee Boot, $150, Nasty Gal

What's warmer than a pair of boots in the winter? Add some length, and you've got a shoe that keeps your toes and legs warm when rocking that mini-dress.

Fur Vest

Faux Fur Vest, $40, H&M

A fur vest with a mini-dress can be super chic and give you some added warmth.

Outfit Idea #4

Sparkling Skirt

Sequined Skirt, $60, H&M

Who doesn't love a sequined skirt for a party? This holiday wardrobe staple may not seem very warm, but like other items, can be easily styled for a chill night out of the town.

Tights are perfect for the winter, and for your warm holiday party outfits. Wear them with a sequined mini skirt and poof: warm legs! Add that sweater from outfit #1, and you are good to go!
