We’re constantly fascinated by what our zodiac sign says about our love lives, whether it's which signs are most compatible, the best sex positions for each sign, or how each sign handles conflict in relationships. That's why Bustle has enlisted Mecca Woods, a New York City-based Astrologer to tell us all about how astrology is affecting our love lives each week. This week's topic: what Aquarius women love in bed.
Word on the astro-street is that an overwhelmingly amount of adult film stars are Aquarius. Now I don’t know how true this is, but it’s no surprise that people like Cherokee, Wesley Pipes, and the porn god himself, Ron Jeremy, have all had very long and notable careers in the adult film industry and all share the zodiac sign of Aquarius. Why is that? Well aside from the fact that Aquarians, like fellow Air signs Gemini and Libra, have the special ability to emotionally detach from sex; they also come built with an inherent desire to shock and awe in everything that they do — especially when it comes to sex.
In fact, because an Aquarius’ love style is to keep their partner or partners (more on that in a sec) on their toes, they’re best suited for someone who enjoys a few surprises in the sack. And this means if you are an Aquarius, you most definitely need someone who is as open as you are when it comes to sex, otherwise it won’t work. Missionary? Yawn. Doggie Style? I guess. Doggie Style while strapped into a sex swing? We’re getting there. That said, here’s a few reasons why Aquarians have to get it in like they do:
1. They Need Constant Stimulation
Co-ruled by the planet Uranus, the planet in astrology known for radical changes and breakthroughs, Aquarians cannot stand to be bored. With all this electric energy pulsing through their veins coupled with an a-ha moment every two minutes, an Aquarius approaches sex in the very same way. While Aquarius might not necessarily be the most passionate or emotional in bed, they do need to be the most enthused. Woe be unto the person who has feel the cold winds of Aquarius indifference.
2. They Need To Push The Envelope
For an Aquarius, there will forever be the need to be unconventional, innovative and original. As such, they have a deep understanding that this often means being seen by others as being a rebel, a weirdo, and even a freak. But that’s ok with Aquarius as they know that while fitting in can be necessary from time to time, fitting in all the time leaves little room for ideas, growth, and change. This is where Aquarius tends to be more progressive than some of the other more traditional signs. When applied to sex and relationships, you expect an Aquarius to delight you with their sex positive and avant-garde outlook.
3. They Live In Their Heads
As mentioned, Aquarius is an Air sign, this means that sex first takes place in the head then the body. Want to turn an Aquarius on? Talk to them. They love, love, LOVE sharing information and ideas; the dirtier the better. And this brings me back to the point I brought up about Aquarius and porn; because they’re also ruled by the planet Saturn, they need to make sense and order out of the new ideas and information that comes their way, treating sex a bit like a science experiment. What will happen if we do this? What will happen if I touch that? These are the kinds of questions that keep an Aquarius going. Don't forget to share with them, in detail, your own findings.
4. They Accept Your Crazy
Ask any Aquarius to define themselves and they will more than likely tell you that they’re a people person. As the sign of friendship, Aquarians have the ability to turn just about anyone into a kindred spirit because they tend to be so accepting. If you’re dating an Aquarius, the quirkier and freakier you are in the bedroom, the more comfortable and loved it makes them feel. If you are an Aquarius, you know how much a little (or a lot of crazy) can be a turn on. Toys and movies? Yes. Fetish? Yes. Multiple partners? Why not? Which brings me to my next point:
5. The More The Merrier
In many of my sex and astrology workshops, I always say that Aquarius is one of the signs who’d be most interested in group sex or sex clubs (Gemini would be in the Top 3). Couple their need for freedom with their ability to find common ground with anyone, and you’ve got yourself a true blue universal lover. Now while this doesn’t necessarily mean that an attached or committed Aquarius will break hearts bedding everyone and anyone, but an open relationship isn't exactly out of the picture.
