What You Need To Know About Whitney Port's Husband

by Jamie Primeau

Over the weekend, The Hills and The City alum Whitney Port tied the knot in Palm Springs. After a two-year engagement and an epic bachelorette party (which included an appearance from Britney Spears), the reality TV actress and fashion designer wed her long-time boyfriend Tim Rosenman. While I feel like I watched Port grow up right before my eyes through her appearances on MTV shows, I can't help but wonder: Who is Tim Rosenman and what does he do for a living? Since I'm a big Whitney Port fan, obviously I needed to learn more about her new husband.

Believe it or not, Whitney Port and Tim Rosenman met on the set of her MTV spin-off, The City, back in 2008. He actually was an associate producer on the show, but it wasn't until a few years later that they began dating in 2012. I guess that whole theory about it being a bad idea to date your co-workers was disproven in this case, huh? It's actually really sweet that they met through her show! Plus, Port reportedly made the first move and got his number.

Port's show isn't the only TV series that Rosenman has worked on. Back in 2012, he was credited with serving as a producer for The X Factor . Yup, the beloved talent competition that brought us musical gems like Fifth Harmony and Alex & Sierra.

As for what he's doing these days, Rosenman isn't as active on social media as his wife, so it's hard to tell. His Twitter account hasn't been updated since 2013. According to his Twitter bio, he "invented zip-up hooded sweatshirts." I'm going to have to assume he's joking on that one. But hopefully we'll get more intel into his latest career moves via Port's social channels.

When he's not producing TV shows, Rosenman has another very important role: making his wife laugh. In an interview with Us Weekly, Port said, "He makes me laugh more than anyone could ever possibly. For me, that was such an important quality in someone you choose to spend the rest of your life with." How sweet is that?

Here's hoping these two collaborate on another TV show in the future. Maybe a more tame version of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's Chaotic, perhaps? OK, that'd be a little much. But either way, wishing the newlyweds many happy years ahead!
