When a collaboration this big comes around, people get serious about their shopping. H&M x Balmain caused quite the frenzy in stores and online, and Twitter sounded off about it. From videos of the hungry crowds at stores to people mourning the loss of the precious sold-out items that they had coveted, the Internet had a lot to say about this incredible collab.

I, along with the rest of the fashion world, knew what a big deal this would be as soon as the partnership was announced. Then, the pictures and advertisements came rolling in and all of my suspicions were confirmed — the collection is, in fact, amazing. Now, the big day is here! The items went on sale at 8 a.m. on Nov. 5 and were sold out almost entirely soon after the coffee guzzling early risers had scoured the Web and their local H&M stores, leaving many without the chance to own a piece of this glorious collection for themselves. How I would have cherished a heavily embroidered blazer or sequined mini dress designed by Olivier Rousteing!

Well, what’s done is done. Some of us will never own the clothes that just about broke the Internet. Let’s commiserate via Twitter, shall we? Misery loves company, after all.
