The Worst Fights In 'Real Housewives' History
Being a part of The Real Housewives isn't all fun and games. In fact, the experience seems like a lot of times it's the exact opposite. Aside from the fun one-liners here and there, the moments that really stand out in the franchise are the over-the-top fights between the Real Housewives. They definitely make up some of the most iconic moments. I don't even know if I can pick a favorite spat. There have been plenty of good ones throughout the years, so it's pretty tough to narrow things down. Still, sometimes things have gotten too crazy, and there have been some arguments that just really took me aback and stand out as the worst fights in Real Housewives history.
Tables got flipped in Real Housewives of New Jersey's first season. The best shade has been thrown by the Atlanta ladies. Richards family secrets were revealed on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, not to mention the wine glasses that were thrown and Lisa Vanderpump getting slapped. And that isn't even everything that has happened throughout Housewives history. Here are some of the worst fights in the franchise's many years on the air.
1. Lisa Rinna Throwing A Wine Glass At Kim Richards
Whenever the Real Housewives travel, emotions are always amplified. The RHOBH ladies' Amsterdam trip in Season 5 was the pinnacle of drama. After Lisa Rinna expressed concerns over Kim Richards' sobriety, the tension between the two was at an all time high. Then, Kim randomly started calling out Lisa's husband, Harry Hamlin, for some never explained incident and a line was crossed. Lisa was enraged and threw a full wine glass at her enemy. Even Kim's sister Kyle didn't know how to react to this one — she literally ran away from the scene!
2. Brandi Glanville Slapping Lisa Vanderpump
This is the weirdest fight I've ever seen. There was no real tension in the scene up until the slap happened. Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi were kidding around, and Brandi told Lisa to hit her. And since that never happened, Brandi just decided to hit Lisa in the face. There was no real motivation here and Brandi was just trying to be funny, but things definitely went way too far. There was no going back after this Season 5 incident.
3. Tamra Judge Throwing A Cease & Desist Letter (& A Wine Glass) At Jeana Keough
Real Housewives of Orange County's Tamra was not pleased to hear Jeana talking to the press about her divorce from Simon Barney. She just wanted the pot stirrer to mind her own business, so she had a lawyer draw up a cease and desist letter. Instead of having it delivered in a civil fashion, Tamra threw the letter in Jeana's face at a cocktail party and threw a full wine glass. Ironically, the only thing Jeana had to say after that was a quip about Tamra getting divorced — aka the thing she was not supposed to talk about anymore.
4. Aviva Drescher Throwing Her Artificial Leg At A Formal Event
The Season 6 finale of Real Housewives of New York had one of the most infamous moments in Real Housewives history. All of the women were done with Aviva and coming at her, but she ended the conversation in the most dramatic way possible by yelling, "The only thing that's fake or artificial about me is my leg" and threw her prosthetic leg in the middle of the room. I have never seen anything like this in my life. The moment was instantly iconic.
5. Teresa Giudice Vs. Danielle Staub At The Country Club
Even after all of the drama between Teresa and Danielle during the first season of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa was still miffed by Danielle ignoring her at an event the next season. Teresa said she was just trying to be nice and she even called Danielle "honey," but the former Housewife was not having it. Teresa then responded with, "Is b*tch better?" and the two continued to go at it.
6. Adriana De Moura Punching Joanna Krupa
Real Housewives of Miami did not last for very long, but it doesn't mean that it was void of classic moments. The fight between Joanna and Adriana during Season 2 at a lingerie themed party was so over-the-top. The women were barely clothed and punches were thrown in front of everyone in a pretty vicious brawl. It makes me wonder why RHOM isn't on anymore. These ladies were so feisty!
7. Kyle Richards Getting A Brutal Reading From Psychic Allison DuBois
I will never get over medium Allison DuBois and her e-cigarette giving Kyle Richards the most offensive psychic reading during Season 1 of RHOBH. She told Kyle that her husband "would never emotionally fulfill" her and that he was cheating on her. I just want to know what kind of spirits had so much insight to share about Kyle's marriage. Needless to say, this did not go over very well at the dinner party.
8. Shereé Whitfield Arguing With Her Party Planner
I have no idea who would ever come for Shereé. During the Season 2 premiere of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Shereé was offended because she couldn't get in touch with a poet for her party (which is just ridiculous anyway). Her party planner was copping an attitude and Shereé said one of the most legendary lines in Real Housewives history: "Who gon check me, boo?"
9. Shereé Pulling Kim Zolciak's Wig With NeNe Leakes As The Mediator
You know a fight is out of control when NeNe Leakes is the peacemaker. During RHOA's second season, Kim and Shereé were arguing outside of a restaurant and things turned physical when Shereé felt the need to tug on Kim's wig. NeNe tried to break up the fight, and then Michael Lohan (yes, Lindsay's father) appeared out of nowhere to express his desire for all of the girls to get along.
10. Joe Gorga & Joe Giudice Fighting At A Family Retreat
We all hoped for the best when the Giudices and Gorgas went to a family retreat during RHONJ's fifth season, but it was easier said than done. Joe Gorga referred to his sister Teresa Giudice as "scum," and she decided to go tell her husband about it. Of course, this lead to Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga getting in a physical fight — again. I just feel bad for the therapist who had to facilitate this retreat.
11. Brandi Glanville Vs. The Richards Sisters
During Brandi's first season of RHOBH, she did not make the best impression on the Richards sisters. After Kyle made a dumb blonde joke, Brandi had enough. She called Kyle a b*tch and accused Kim of doing drugs in the bathroom. Things went from zero to 100, real quick.
12. Teresa Giudice Flipping The Table At Danielle Staub
This moment from the first Real Housewives of New Jersey finale is one of the best in reality television history. After a season full of tension and scandal, Teresa and Danielle were having another argument. Danielle told Teresa to "pay attention," and that was the last straw. Teresa slammed her hand down and flipped a table. She instantly became a reality TV icon in this moment and cemented her place in pop culture.
13. Joe Giudice & Joe Gorga Brawling At A Christening
RHONJ's third season got off to a rocky start to say the least. It seemed like the Giudices and Gorgas were having a nice time at Melissa Gorga's son's christening, but that is rarely ever the case when it comes to the Real Housewives. Joe Gorga called his sister Teresa Giudice "trash" and her husband Joe Giudice became enraged. Then a physical brawl ensued and both the christening and the family dynamics were effectively ruined.
14. Porsha Williams Dragging Kenya Moore At The Season 6 Reunion
Porsha and Kenya had tension for quite some time on RHOA, but things took a turn for the worst during the Season 6 reunion. Kenya had a wand and megaphone that she used to egg Porsha on and she finally snapped. Porsha came at Kenya, pulled on her wig, and dragged her across the stage. It was one of the most dramatic moments in Real Housewives history.
15. Kyle & Kim Richards In The Back Of The Limo
Kim and Kyle fighting in a limo during the first season finale of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is something I will never forget. They were pretty loyal to each other all season so to see them arguing was shocking. But then things took a turn for the worse when Kyle called her sister an alcoholic in a very chilling moment. It was one of the realest moments in the show's history, and it had a tremendous effect on the sisters' now-tumultuous relationship.
I love watching the shopping sprees and the gossipy lunches on Real Housewives, but there is just nothing like the fights between the women. I'd feel bad saying it, but as everyone knows, they pretty much always end up becoming friends again, anyway.
