'DWTS' Emma & Alek Speak Out On Dating Rumors

Aside from dancing prowess, there are a few more factors that are taken into account when it comes to evaluating the pairs on Dancing With the Stars, and one of the most important aspects has to be chemistry. The couples spend so much time rehearsing and trying to perfect their performances that it's not at all shocking that they form a lot of chemistry together and tend to spark rumors of romance. So, who is everyone talking about this season? People want to know if Alek Skarlatos and Emma Slater are dating, and the two have actually spoken out about the rumors as the season's gone on.

It looks like there are definitely some strong feelings of attraction between the two, but are they an official couple? It does not seem like it— at least not yet. Hopefully, they will have some time to figure things out after the season is over, but for now, all we have are few sly comments to analyze.

During a Good Morning America interview, Slater was asked if she and Skarlatos have been on a date and she gave a pretty coy response: "We didn't go on a date yet. We'll see." Am I the only one freaking out that she used the word "yet?" Slater also said that they're "great friends" who are "still close." I interpret this to mean that they are not actually dating, but that she isn't ruling out the prospect.

What has Skarlatos said about possibly dating the dancing professional? Not much, but maybe he's just shy. When he was asked about having a crush on Slater during an E! News interview, he answered with a simple "No comment." If he did not have a crush on her, wouldn't he just say that so he could put a halt to the rumors? I mean that's what I would do, so saying "No comment" is actually a pretty telling in an ironic sort of way.

Ever since these two were paired up together on DWTS Switch Up week, the speculation has been running rampant. No one really knows what's going on, but it seems to me that there is a possibility that Emek might become an official couple after all. Fingers
