What's more fun than getting to eat a ridiculous amount of Halloween candy? Seeing what celebrities were up to on Halloween, of course! Some stars' celebrations were glamorous, while others were low-key but still amazing, like this awesome Guardians of the Galaxy reunion on Halloween featuring stars Vin Diesel and Zoe Saldana, plus their adorable families. Diesel posted the snap to his Instagram account, and it makes me want Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in theaters tomorrow. Alas, I'm not that lucky — the movie isn't due to come out until May 2017. So for now, this sweet reunion photo will have to do.
Another reason why this reunion is remarkable is because it celebrates the first Halloween for Diesel's daughter Pauline (who is named for Paul Walker, his late Fast and Furious co-star) and Saldana's twins Cy and Bowie, her sons with hubby Marcus Prego. In the photo, Saldana and Prego are dressed in prisoners uniforms (like in the movie) and they're holding Pauline, while Cy and Bowie, dressed as police, chill on Rocket the Racoon's lap — and could that be Diesel all dressed up as Rocket? There's no word on if that actually is Diesel under the mask, but if it is, how cool is that? To refresh your memory, Diesel provided the voice of loquacious tree Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, while Saldana played Gamora (Bradley Cooper voiced Rocket).
Unfortunately for fans, we have a long way to go before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 gets its 2017 release. First of all, the sequel to the smash hit movie — which grossed $779 million worldwide back in 2014, according to Box Office Mojo — has to be shot. According to Collider, GOTG Vol. 2 will be filmed in February and March 2016 with all your favorites returning, including Diesel and Saldana. While we all wait with baited breath for the sequel, let's take a look at the Halloween reunion photo. Isn't it great?
