Kim Richards Receives Sentence For August Arrest

by Allyson Koerner

On Wednesday, multiple outlets announced that former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards was sentenced with 36 months of probation, 300 hours of community service, and 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, with a minimum of one per week, for her shoplifting arrest in August. She has also been banned from visiting the Target location where she shoplifted. Bustle has reached out to Richards' rep for comment, but has not yet heard back.

If you're thinking that you've heard this before, it's because it's not the first time the reality star was sentenced recently. In September, Richards was sentenced for her Beverly Hills Hotel arrest in April. She received three years probation, 30 days of community labor, and was ordered to stay away from the Beverly Hills Hotel while on probation. Furthermore, the 50-year-old was ordered to attend 52 weeks of Alcoholics Anonymous. According to E! News, the judge ruling over Richards' shoplifting case decided that since her two sentences were within months of each other, she "will only have to meet the community service hours and AA requirements once. They will not double."

In August, E! News reported that Richards was arrested for stealing over $600 worth of items. E! also reported that security saw her steal the items and then placed her under citizen's arrest until the police arrived.
