Short hair, don't care! After riding an emotional roller coaster for the past two weeks that saw her estranged husband Lamar Odom fighting for his life and lead to her calling off their divorce, Khloe Kardashian has cut her hair. The reality star chopped her signature long and wavy locks, which have been golden blonde since the spring, into a chic lob.
Sometimes a girl just has to do something new or different with hair in order to get some control of the chaos in her life. It might sound silly to some, but it's always worked for me. Cutting or changing one's hair amid drama can be a way of bringing a new and refreshing change to a stressful situation.
Of course the lob looks amazing on Kardashian. It's a pretty drastic change, simply because we are so used to Koko having super long strands. She's never really opted for a shoulder-dusting or blunt cut.
However, shorter, or "shortish" hair has been a Kardashian koif trend in 2015. Kim went shorter when she went platinum, while Kylie Jenner debuted a blunt bob earlier this month. No, none of the sisters are copying their mother Kris Jenner yet, who has rocked her short pixie forever.
But they are experimenting with less length... except for Kourtney and Kendall, who have both remained committed to long, dark, and straight hair.
Kendall also made a pitstop at pink, ICYMI.
Khloe is in the far left upper corner, with much, much shorter locks. She ditched a lot of length, but the volume and lushness remains in tact.
Khloe didn't lose any of her sexiness when she shed the excess length, and the length frames her face so well. Again, given Khloe's tumultuous October, chopping her locks might have elevated her mood. Making a beauty change can help a girl to feel good. There's nothing wrong with that.
Baby sis Kylie is Koko's partner in going shorter. Her blunt, straight bob was rockin'.
Kris is always well-coiffed and super short. This messy, textured take on her signature pixie was sexy.
Khloe's flaxen follicles have become her calling card in 2015. The color worked amazingly with her skin tone and her hair texture. She never looked washed out and was always a bombshell.
Even with less length, she is still scorching. I'm hoping she doesn't reach for the extensions right away and enjoys having lighter, lesser hair. Not only does it look great on her, but it's probably a bit of a relief, since she has a lot of other things to deal with these days that take priority over washing, curling, and blow drying.
Looking good, Koko!
