Starbucks Is Getting Spooky For Halloween

by Lucia Peters

Did you think that the Pumpkin Spice Latte was the only autumnal drink you needed? Think again — because there's a new kid on the block, and it's a whoooole lot spookier than its pie-like cousin. The Starbucks Frappula Frappuccino will be arriving just in time for Halloween, and from what I can see right now, it's definitely a beverage worthy of Count Dracula himself. If, y'know, he had a sweet tooth and a slight dependence on caffeine.

According to a press release, the Frappula Frappuccino is a “blended crème beverage” that starts with mocha sauce hanging out in the bottom of your cup. Then, a dollop of whipped cream gets added to the mix before the main event arrives: A cupful of white chocolate mocha Frappuccino. A drizzle of raspberry syrup adds some vampire-like charm to the cup's rim; then another dollop of whpped cream finishes the whole thing off. Sounds decadent, no? I don't typically go for Frappuccinos once the cooler weather kicks in (mostly because I end up spending the rest of the day freezing from the inside out whenever I do) — but I am highly considering making an exception in this case. Because you guys. If the Pumpkin Spice Latte is Mercedes McNab's Girl Scout in The Addams Family…

...The Frappula Frappuccino is Wednesday Addams herself:

Heck. And yes.

There's just one catch, though: You'll only have a few days to get your paws on one. The Frappula Frappuccino will only be available from Wednesday, Oct. 28 through Saturday, Oct. 31 at participating stores in the United States. In Canada, it'll be available from Oct. 28 through Nov.1, and some international locations will be able to get a hold of it starting the week of Oct. 25.

Moral of the story? Hie thee to thy local Starbucks for a dose of spooky, frozen goodness. Happy almost-Halloween, coffee lovers!
