Celebrate Colorado Marijuana Legalization With This Cannabis Recipe Roundup
This New Year's Day will be an extra special one in Colorado, where recreational marijuana use becomes legal on Jan. 1, 2014. Starting in January, any Colorado resident old enough to purchase alcohol can buy up to one ounce of weed. So to celebrate Coloradans getting stoned legally, here's a round-up of marijuana recipes. Weed food goes way beyond brownies these days (it's even gone hipster gourmet, with Brooklyn's locavore pizza joint Roberta's serving a weed-food tasting menu). Here are six recipes that would be good even without the weed (but, let's be honest, will be better with it). Happy New Year's, Colorado!
Weed Bacon

Cannabis Oil Bread Dip
For a perfect New Year’s day bread dip, add one more herb next time you’re sauteing garlic and herbs in olive oil. “Since cannabinoids are fat-soluble, they are best mixed with natural fats like butter and oil,” explains Autostraddle’s High Femme.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for marijuana vanilla ice cream. Made with half-and-half marijuana cream, obviously.
