Have Yourself A Merry Little '00s Pop Halloween

The season of the spooky has arrived in all of its pumpkin-scented, synthetic cobweb-adorned glory. I love October. The weather is nice, I can always get behind the Travel Channel’s haunted house programming blocks, I look forward to my neighbor’s over-the-top Halloween decorations, and so on. IMHO (in my haunted opinion), it is the most wonderghoul time of year. Do I have a favorite Halloween tradition? Oh, you better boolieve I do: I watch Britney Spears’s “It’s Britney, Witch" video every All Hallow’s Eve. The BBC Radio 1 short premiered back in 2013, and it's been getting me into the Halloween spirit ever since.

As I watched the "It's Britney, Witch" vid this afternoon, a thought hit me: Are there any other Halloween-y videos by the other pop stars who rose to prominence in the late 90s/early ‘00s? Is there a way to combine these two wonderful things? Can I two become one Halloween and early aughts pop?

The obvious answer: I can always dress up like one of my favorite turn-of-the-millennium pop stars for Halloween. But let's take it a little further, yeah? Because hey, why not? I brainstormed some more ways to incorporate my favorite era of pop music into my favorite time of year.
