Just when you thought Halloween couldn't get any better, you realize you can get $3 Chipotle on Halloween as part of its annual Chipotle Boorito fundraiser. That's right — whether you want a burrito, bowl, salad, or tacos, you can get it for just $3 on Halloween. All you need to do is put on your costume, and show up at a Chipotle location between 5 p.m. and closing on Oct. 31.
The twist? In previous years, you had to dress up as a burrito in order to get your discounted food. This year, you can show up in any costume, as long as it includes one completely unnecessary addition.
The costume change supports Chipotle's larger vision of only serving real, fresh food, rather than all of the preservatives and additives you typically find in fast food eats. As the company's press release states, Chipotle's menu offers food made with only 68 different ingredients that are raised or grown with respect for farmers, the environment, animals, and consumers. That definitely sounds a lot better than the mystery meat you get at many other fast food chains, right?
Plus, you can rest assured not only knowing that your $3 food is real and delicious, but also that your money is going to a good cause. Proceeds from the Boorito fundraiser — up to $1 million — benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, which "provides resources and promotes good stewardship for farmers; promotes better livestock husbandry; encourages regenerative agriculture practices; and fosters food literacy, cooking education, and nutritious eating."
Needless to say, $3 Chipotle on Halloween sounds like a win-win situation. Dreams really do come true!
