Whether or not you're a fan of Selena Gomez, you've got to admit — this is pretty great. According to a post over at Livejournal's resident gossip blog Oh No They Didn't!, Selena Gomez called out a bully on her Instagram with an epic takedown comment, after noticing that the user was telling another fan to cut themselves.
"This is ridiculous," Gomez posted. "@selinagomesfan my fans don't do this to others. That's not what I stand for so you can gladly stop being a fan of me. I only encourage love, confidence, kindness. @keylimegomez you are gorgeous just the way you are. Don't ever attempt that shit again. Ok? I love you too much for you to be doing that. PS. To all my fans, don't ever think this is fun to get attention. It's just wrong. I love you all just the way you are."
Calm and collected, but still gets the point across firmly. Too often cyberbullying goes unnoticed, especially on Instagram and Twitter — so it's refreshing to see a celebrity who actually calls out someone who's causing problems on their own Instagram page. Kudos to Selena.
In response, one fan thanked Gomez for her comment, to which Gomez responded, "of course. That's what I'm here for."
