Of all of the disappointments in my adult life, the most colossal one by far is that none of my friends have had Harry-Potter- themed weddings. What's the dealio, fellow grown-up Potterheads? I'm talking golden snitch place settings, bridesmaids in Yule Ball gowns, pumpkin pasties at the buffet table, the whole nine yards. Get on my level. And if you're not willing to do that, then at least considering a subtle nod to your faves with these Harry Potter quotes to put in your wedding vows. Unsurprisingly, the infinite wisdom of J.K. Rowling applies in this setting, too.
I have yet to trick Chris Pratt into marrying me, so I can't speak to the experience of writing your own vows, but I'm guessing it's hard. Plus a bunch of people you know are actively staring at you. Kill two birds with one stone: Have the best vows on the planet and impress your guests with your nerdery by incorporating these quality HP quotes into them. Plus, since you're obviously marrying a fellow Potterhead (if you aren't, you have problems that are far beyond my advice-giving), you'll be able to show them your love is just as true and enduring as all of the gold that came out of J.K. Rowling's brain.
