The Voice Season 9 has kicked off with a whole new roster of talented singers vying to be crowned champion. Season 8 winner Sawyer Fredericks is no longer on the show (obviously), but he's still been keeping pretty busy with his music career. So where can you see Sawyer Fredericks perform? The upstate New York native has two major events coming up, which also happen to include two Voice Season 8 alumna, so you don't want to miss out.
He'll be performing with Mia Z at New York City's Mercury Lounge on Sept. 30 and with Meghan Linsey at Nashville's City Winery on Oct. 12. Fredericks also announced on his official website that he'll make his first trip to Oklahoma for a set at the Oklahoma State Fair in Tulsa on Oct. 1.
According to Fredericks' social media accounts, he's been splitting time working on his album in Los Angeles, tending to his family's beloved farm in Upstate New York, and singing all summer in his home region at various concerts and state fairs. While he was competing on The Voice this past spring, Fredericks said that he appreciated the love of his hometown of Fultonville. "I've had great support from my hometown, even before the show," he told Bustle after he had won The Voice back in May. "I'm really happy to have their support through this experience."
It's been a busy summer for Fredericks. Here's where he's been singing throughout the past few months.
American Music Festival At Lake George
Under a full moon, Fredericks recently performed at this upstate New York festival. "I have a lot of friends and family in the audience and Team Sawyer," he wrote on Instagram on the day of the concert.
Mohawk Valley Music Fest At The Fonda Fairgrounds
Earlier this month, Fredericks opened for Trace Adkins at this festival. "I've been going to the Fonda Fair for years — this will be my first time performing during the fair, the same place that hosted my homecoming visit during The Voice," he wrote on his website about the gig.
New York State Fair In Syracuse
Fredericks performed at the fair with Voice alums Josh Batstone and Amanda Lee Peers. He described it on IG as "one of the biggest audiences I've played to."
St. Jude's Gala In Saratoga Springs
Fredericks gave a concert for the 3rd Annual St. Jude Gala along with local band Big Sky Country at the Saratoga National Golf Club. And, hey, it was for a good cause!
Boston Film Festival Concert
Fredericks joined Voice alums James Massone, Noah Lis, Ria Eaton, and 2012 winner Jermaine Paul for this concert on Boston Common.
With all this performing it's no wonder Fredericks hasn't had time to put out an album yet. Fingers crossed he does soon, though. And, if not, well at least you can go to one of his many performances.
