It's the dawn of a new day and a new Daily Show , premiering Monday night with new host Trevor Noah. His edition of The Daily Show will have a whole new team of correspondents, which he's calling "The Best F*&#ing News Team Ever!" (punctuation their's). So who is new Daily Show correspondent Ronny Chieng? This comedian has lived and performed all over the world and gained fame for his stand-up in Australia, where he racked up many accolades as a funny man at events like the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the Sydney Comedy Festival, and the Melbourne Comedy Festival, just to name a few.
On social media, Chieng has more than 13,000 followers who are fans of his hilarious tweets, such as his tweet announcing he'll be joining The Daily Show ("I'm excited to bring my attention to detail & knowledge of current affairs to working with Jon Stewart") and the new movie Steve Jobs , which is coming out in October ("It's only been two years and they're already rebooting the Steve Jobs movie."). Chieng has also appeared on numerous Aussie sketch TV shows, as well as CBS' The Late Late Show.

He Grew Up In Singapore & New Hampshire
According to his official bio, Chieng was b orn in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and then grew up in both Manchester, New Hampshire, and Singapore. For college, he decided to head to Australia.
He Has Degrees In Commerce & Law
Chieng graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 with those degrees, but his true passion was for comedy. According to his official bio, he pursued stand-up after graduation — with successful results.
He Appeared All Over Aussie TV
The Daily Show won't be Chieng's first foray into television — he has appeared in many Australian comedy and sketch TV shows, including Kinne, The Agony Of Modern Manners, Have You Been Paying Attention, It's A Date, Dirty Laundry Live, Legally Brown, and Problems.
He Made His American TV Debut On The Late Late Show
Earlier this year, comedian Thomas Lennon guest hosted the CBS talk show and had Ronny Chieng on as a guest, along with Odd Couple co-star Matthew Perry and Nick Kroll.
He Performed His One-Hour Special At The Biggest Comedy Festival In The World
Chieng has received invitations to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal in 2012, 2013, and 2015. In 2013, he was invited to perform on the Eddie Izzard Gala and during Aussie comedian Will Anderson’s special from the festival. In 2015, Chieng got the spotlight: He performed a special performance of his one-hour comedy special at the festival.
Last month, Chieng also performed at the renowned Edinburgh Finge Festival in Scotland, among many other comedy festivals around the globe.
He Has Opened For Dave Chappelle
Chieng opened for the American comedian on his Australia tour and, according to Cheing's agency bio, he has also provided support for comedians Bob Saget and Mike Epps on tour.
