Beth Behrs of '2 Broke Girls' Landed A Book Deal

by Stephanie Topacio Long

2 Broke Girls' Beth Behrs has a new project on her plate: the sitcom star has signed a new book deal. Deadline reports that her upcoming lifestyle guide slash memoir will be published by Weinstein Books, thanks to the agreement. It's not quite the delectable cupcake recipe compilation that we'd expect from her 2 Broke Girls character, Caroline, but it may be just as enjoyable, if not quite as delicious.

Food will still be a factor in Behrs' book. Her memoir will detail how too much junk food and not enough activity weighed her down when her acting career was launching, as well as include health tips, healthy recipes, and lots of humor. She's guaranteeing a "down-to-earth, empathetic and often laugh-out-loud book offering a holistic and practical approach for readers to regain control of their physical and emotional health while reaching for and achieving their most ambitious dreams."

All the lazy girls out there will be relieved to know that her advice doesn't call for a complete upheaval of your life. "I want people to know that they don’t have to go to Soul Cycle five times a week to look good and feel great about themselves," said Behrs. "Big changes start with small steps."

What sadly seems to be missing from the funny actress' book, however, are stellar matchmaking tips. She is, after all, the girl who set up co-star Kat Dennings with her boyfriend, Grammy winner Josh Groban. Behrs' skills have been much in demand by her friends, she told People last week, so it's a shame we won't get to learn from her.

Although the terms of the deal are still currently unknown, it's unlikely that Behrs commanded as impressive a paycheck as Amy Schumer has with her new deal. Nonetheless, it's a development the actress is — and should be — thrilled about. Behrs tweeted Friday that she was "super excited to share [the] news!" Congrats to her!
