Rita Ora Got A New 'Do & Tattoo
Adding a new look to her personal hair hall of fame, Rita Ora debuted her pixie bowl cut during a cover shoot for ELLE Canada earlier this week and looked absolutely flawless. While most of us would cringe at the thought of a bowl-cut, the "Body on Me" singer wholeheartedly embraced this edgy and modern look. It's no wonder Ora has remained on most designers' and stylists' radar for her confident and daring sense of style.
Hair stylist Chris Appleton, who works closely with the pop star, trimmed Ora's hair into a modified version of the pixie. He cut the front and sides of her hair short, but kept the big surprise in the back with a blunt line cut that exposes a buzz cut underneath. Even though the style is quite daring and specific, it still has a lot of texture and versatility that would allow Ora to style her short hair in different ways. Her new bowl-cut hair also revealed Ora's new tattoo just below the back of her neck. The black and white "Tree of Life" tat was designed by Mark Mahoney, who is considered a legend among tattoo artists.
We all know that Ora has plenty of great hair moments, but I applaud her for really been pushing the envelope that reflect her creativity and carefree attitude. She started her career channeling old Hollywood glamour and has since experimented with hairstyles that truly show off her personality, much like her brand new pixie cut.
She also revealed an amazing back tattoo during her shoot. Could that have been the reason she went even shorter? To show it off?
Over the last few months, Ora has proved herself a true hair chameleon. Check out these eight daring hairstyles that the singer pulled off like a boss:
