Well, it looks like The O.C.'s Ryan Atwood is going to be a dad! Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin are expecting their first child, their reps confirmed to Just Jared on Thursday. This might come as a shock, especially since it was only on Monday rumors were swirling that the Gotham co-stars were dating and taking their onscreen romance offscreen. TMZ first broke the news of the pregnancy Thursday, when the outlet reported Baccarin is filing for full physical custody of her son with her former husband, Austin Chick, and that the pregnancy news would come out during court proceedings.
Seeing as the actress lives in New York and her ex-husband lives in Los Angeles, she is reportedly hoping to receive custody, because she soon won't be able to fly back and forth due to her pregnancy. Apparently, Baccarin is at the end of her first trimester and has TMZ reports "she wants the judge to make a proactive order since there will come a point where she can't get on planes."
Whatever the case, let's talk about something much more important. You know, like the fact that the very same day it was announced that Adam Brody and Leighton Meester reportedly welcomed their first child that McKenzie will soon be a dad, too. For those who aren't making the connection, both Brody and McKenzie starred on The O.C. as Seth Cohen and Ryan Atwood, respectively. What does this mean? There will hopefully be lots of playdates between their children.
