I know we've all been talking a lot about this It girl lately, but it has to be said, again: Gigi Hadid stole the show at Anna Sui in a sequined ensemble paired with a killer vampy makeup look. There's no question that all the models have been slaying at NYFW, but Gigi rocked a look that was so awe-worthy. I mean, the social media superstar and supermodel usually makes a statement wherever she goes, but she definitely stopped everyone in her tracks on Wednesday's runway.
Dressed in floral textures and moody colors, Gigi's ensembles by Anna Sui were both extremely romantic and fierce at the same time — a dynamic combination that not many can pull off. Not only did she wear fabulous threads, but the supermodel's makeup look was so bold and beautiful and totally on point. Her look consisted of dark wine lips, a smoky eyeshadow, and a killer cat eye that even I haven't tried. And I think it's pretty clear that I'm a serious cat eye enthusiast.
With a somewhat geometric shape drawn over her lids, smudged eyeshadow, and gentle contouring, the entire eye look was a perfect way for Gigi's eyes and lips to really pop. While her look might seem like it's only good for the runway, it would totally work IRL. Yes, everyone, you can completely rock the vampy look even if you're not strutting the runway this fashion week. I, for one, used to be crazy over my red wine lipstick and would make any excuse to wear it whenever I could. You could see how ecstatic I was then when I saw Gigi rock that bold lip like no other.
Gigi was absolutely flawless.
Super beautiful, amirite?
Literally slayed.
If you're just as inspired as I am by Gigi's latest NYFW appearance, here are the essentials you'll need to recreate her killer, vampy makeup look.
The Lipstick
I am obsessed with this lipstick. The dark wine texture looks great with almost everything and really sets that gothic, intense look. (Revlon Super Lustrous - Creme Lipstick in Black Cherry, Walgreens.com, $8.29)
The Eyeliner
For Gigi's eye makeup, it looked like it was fully applied into a cat eye for the top lid but was then complemented by another cat eye line on top of it. I would highly recommend using a gel eyeliner so that it gives you the flexibility of making your lines harsher, smudgier or gentler. (Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner, Sephora.com, $25)
The Eyeshadow
Before applying your eyeliner, for an extra touch, you can totally apply this creamy eyeshadow for a more moodier look. The grey color will add a little more drama to the vampy vibes. (Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in smokey blue grey, Sephora.com, $29)
The Bronzer
This bronzer is usually my go-to for all my contouring needs. It's perfectly lightweight and isn't too harsh on my skin. It would totally work for Gigi's gentle contoured look. (Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer, Sephora.com, $28)
The Highlighter
To get the dewy texture that's in Gigi's look, apply highlighter from the apple of your cheekbones to underneath your eyes, and dab a little on the bridge of your nose. This will create glow. I absolutely love using the Benefit Watt's Up! for all highlighting purposes. (Benefit Cosmetics Watt's Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter, Sephora.com, $30)
Vampy looks for fall, anyone?
