12 Top 'Real Housewives' Guest Stars Of All Time
I imagine it's pretty tough casting the ladies who are part of the Real Housewives franchise. But aside from the actual Housewives, there are some other gems in the series. You know who I'm talking about: the friends of the Housewives, the personal assistants, the parents, the frenemies, and anyone else who would be considered a Real Housewives guest star.
These are the people who Bravo did not necessarily cast, but who are a part of the women's lives. Some might just be a blip on the radar or simply serve as someone for an actual Housewife to talk about drama with. But there are plenty of people who have added so much greatness to the many series in the franchise and they deserve some recognition too.
Not all of these cameo appearances are created equal. Some Real Housewives guest stars are better than others and we should give them credit where it's due. Some of these people have left fans with infamous quotes that they remember throughout the seasons. Others have stirred the pot and caused drama on their own. And many have provided some much needed comic relief. Without further ado, here are the top 11 Real Housewives guest stars of all time, ranked.
11. Sweetie Hughes
As Kim Zolciak's assistant, Sweetie Hughes was usually by the Atlanta Housewife's side. The two were partners in crime and laughter was a constant fixture when they were together. Aside from giving us some comic relief, Sweetie's presence also contributed to story lines. In an infamous blowout with Kim, NeNe Leakes referred to Sweetie as Kim's "slave," which sparked a lot of controversy. Sweetie even appeared on Kim's spin off Don't Be Tardy... before she and Kim cut ties.
10. Mama Joyce
Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Kandi Burruss' mother, Joyce Jones, brings some great TV. At first, she was a sage presence giving solid advice to all the ladies. But over time, she became more outspoken on Real Housewives of Atlanta, especially when it came to Kandi's romantic decisions. Mama Joyce infamously hates Kandi's husband, Todd Tucker, and has done everything in her power to break up their relationship. At some points, Joyce had more of a story line than most of the actual Housewives.
9. Roger Bobb
To be honest, Demetria McKinney's boyfriend, Roger Bobb, did not make much of an impression on me during his actual scenes on RHOA. We first met him when he was in a business meeting with Kenya Moore, but his presence grew beyond his actual appearances on the show. There were rumors about him dating just about everyone on Real Housewives of Atlanta and the legend continues to grow. His name was brought up in just about every argument this past season in the weirdest love octagon ever.
8. Satoko Yamazaki
You probably read this heading and thought to yourself, "Who?" You may not know her name, but you definitely know of all the gossipy drama Satoko Yamazaki brought to Real Housewives of New York City as Sonja Morgan's facialist. She seemed to know a lot about LuAnn de Lesseps' sex life and had no qualms spreading rumors among the clique. The few scenes that she appeared in caused some major arguments.
7. Harry Dubin
Harry Dubin is former NYC Housewife Aviva Drescher's ex husband. On top of that, he had an on-and-off romantic relationship with my girl Sonja. And he was rumored to have also gotten with LuAnn. Wow, so that's three Housewives in the same franchise. That's a pretty crazy feat, if true. His presence always made for some interesting conflict.
6. Dwight Eubanks
Dwight Eubanks was featured on RHOA for years. We met him as a close confidante of NeNe's, but he had relationships with pretty much all of the ladies. He infamously credited his appearance to "having sex three times a day" and has provided plenty of other memorable moments on the show. And he is such a Bravo fixture that he also appears on Married to Medicine from time to time.
5. Kim Granatell
I lived for Kim G back in the day on Real Housewives of New Jersey. She was always stirring the pot and would do whatever she could to get more screen time. From hopping on the stripper pole to spreading rumors to attacking her frenemy Danielle Staub, Kim G was just TV gold. She provided so much entertainment that I would have paid her myself to keep her on the show.
4. Faye Resnick
The infamous line "the morally corrupt Faye Resnick" will live on forever in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills history. Faye Resnick is one of Kyle Richards' close friends and her fiercest ally. Faye has no qualms about standing up for Kyle and calling out the other Housewives. Faye claimed "I'm involved in everything" before accusing Brandi Glanville of breaking up Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif's marriage. Faye has yelled and hurled insults at pretty much all of the Beverly Hills women. I've never really agreed with her, but she's definitely brought some jaw dropping moments to the show.
3. Victoria Gotti
Victoria Gotti's appearance on Real Housewives of New Jersey was legendary. She mentioned to Teresa Giudice and Amber Marchese that there was a rumor of Teresa Aprea's husband, Rino Aprea, sleeping with her mother and this rumor was enough to give Teresa Aprea and her twin, Nicole Napolitano, a story line for the entire season. Pretty much every scene with the twins was a blow up related to this rumor. Victoria Gotti is my dream Housewife. I really want her to be a full time cast member.
2. Allison DuBois
I loved everything about Allison DuBois' appearance during a dinner party on RHOBH. The medium was an ally of the formerly polarizing Camille Grammer. I loved everything about Allison from her pretentious attitude to her e-cigarette. She was instantly infamous. She threw out the most insane predictions for the cast that were all insulting. Her most infamous was telling Kyle that her husband "would never emotionally fulfill her." The entire episode was iconic and we have Allison to thank for blessing us with her icy presence.
1. Rosie Pierri
I still don't understand why Kathy Wakile was cast as Housewife over her sister Rosie Pierri. Sure, Kathy was literally a housewife, so she had that going for her, but still. Rosie is a gem and a half. She brings a sincere and light hearted attitude to every scene on RHONJ. She gets along with everyone on the show, but she is still interesting to watch. We all love Rosie, and I wish we got to see her as more than a guest star.
Some of these characters only appeared once and others became semi-regulars. Nevertheless, they are all pretty iconic in the Real Housewives franchise and have made an impact on us loyal fans.
