There's nothing I love more than someone who isn't afraid to take fashion risks and try a variety of styles, which is why Zendaya Coleman's outfits always delight me. Zendaya Coleman at Miss America 2016 is no different, of course. The old-school look she sported for the pageant definitely did not disappoint. What could have looked boring and safe on most looked absolutely stunning and fresh on the 19-year-old musician.

The star sparkled on her way to the judging table in a long, fitted, slinky, silver gown with a slouchy neckline. Zendaya kept it retro with a golden brown smoky eye and nude lips paired with glam waves. Add her intricate, art deco-esque earrings and you have a winning monochrome look. If you're going to wear one color head to toe, it might as well be metallic, right? The entire outfit was completely perfect and had Zendaya looking every bit like a '20s silver screen siren.

While she was properly decked out in shiny baubles for the red carpet, perhaps her best accessory was the pretty adorable glasses she perched on her nose when it came time to get down to the tough work of judging — a move that I couldn't possibly love any more. Who says glasses can't be formal attire?
