All of our early '00s nostalgia dreams are coming true, people: Jessica Simpson is working on new music. The now 35-year-old singer revealed her plans to USA Today on Wednesday evening at the 10-year anniversary party for her fashion line in New York City. (Side note: Jessica Simpson once had trouble distinguishing between tuna fish and chicken, and yet, she still managed to launch her own successful fashion empire. Remember, kids: "There can be miracles when you believe," never give up on your dreams, all things are possible, etc.) So, what can we expect to hear from J. Simp's upcoming project? Well, she's still figuring out the details. "I want it to be authentic to where I'm at in my life right now," she said. "It might not be on the radio, I don't care, but it will definitely be on my website." That's all that matters! What excellent news.

Simpson had a handful of hits between 1999 and 2006, but she was never really a "top-tier" pop star. No, she couldn't quite compete with the Britney Spearses and Christina Aguileras of the world, but she definitely put out some catchy tunes back in the day. Even when her songs miss the mark, they tend to be so bad... they're actually kinda good? That takes talent.
