Fall's Best Vegan Nail Polish Shades
New York Fashion Week might be all about what's coming up for spring, but today officially feels like the first day of fall in Manhattan. The cozy colors and crisp air make it my favorite time of year, and I am pumped to start rocking vegan nail polish shades perfect for fall! From warm neutrals to brighter hues, I've scouted out what's trending this season.
To determine the trending colors, I used Pantone's Matching System, literally known in the color and design industry as PMS (lol), thanks to learning about it during my adventure with Sephora + Pantone Color IQ makeup service. The company pulls from a variety of industries to determine a season's hot colors. Their website describes Fall 2015 as "an umbrella of accord that weaves earthy neutrals with a range of bold color statements and patterns to reflect a landscape of hope, fun, fantasy and all things natural." The list mixes warm corals and deep jade with pops of unexpected turquoise and violet, making this autumn look all kinds of whimsical.
As for why I try to seek out vegan nail polishes, I prefer dodging brands that use crushed fish scales, oyster shells, and ground beetles. The easiest way to know whether or not your polish is vegan and cruelty-free is to look for a little leaping bunny symbol on the bottle. If you're unsure about a particular polish, just go ahead and reach out to the company directly!
The brands below are all vegan, cruelty-free, and they've created gorgeous shades for the season. They'll completely transform any outfit, no matter how dark and dreary fall gets.
1. Bright Turquoise
This rich, creamy shade lets you savor the memory of summer while still embracing the season.
2. Pale Pink
Airhead, $12, SpaRitual
This sweet, cotton candy shade will keep you smiling as the temperatures drop.
3. Deep Gold
A classic fall hue with a hint of shimmer.
4. Violet Party
YAAAS, $7, 1143Nails
The name of this popping color is literally "YAAAS" and I'm obsessed.
5. Ashen Sage
Runyon, $12, Cult Cosmetics
This hue might be earthy and natural, but it definitely won't go unnoticed.
6. Vampy Aqua
On the flipside of the bright, ocean-shade turquoise, deep aquas are also on trend for fall.
7. Magenta
A warm, rosy shade to rock in the evenings.
