12 Pumpkin Breakfasts That Will Get You Out Of Bed
Waking up in the morning is hard enough as it is. Aside from trying to resist hitting the snooze button for the 10th time in a row, you have to get ready and, more importantly, eat breakfast before rushing out the door. The only thing that works for me, particularly during “pumpkin everything” season, is the thought of delicious pumpkin breakfast recipes waiting for me at the table.
Food is the only reason I’ll get out of bed. Really. If there is no promise of food in the very near future, I have to be forcibly pulled out of bed. Otherwise, I am clinging to every sleepy minute I can. It might sound a little extreme, but my stomach is the only thing that can force me to throw the covers back, and leave the comfort of my bed.
I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am to have pumpkin season back in my life. Pumpkin is literally giving me a solid reason for getting out of bed every day. Waking up to the scent of pumpkin filling the air is my most cherished memory of fall. That’s why I’m rounding up my favorite pumpkin breakfasts that will make you want to get out of bed in the morning.

2. Pumpkin Bread With Walnuts
Considering how lazy I can be, a sweet slice of pumpkin bread from Joy the Baker is my lazy morning solution. You can make it over the weekend, and continue to eat it throughout the week, assuming it lasts more than one day. Of course, it probably won’t — let’s be real.
3. Pumpkin Pecan Scones With Maple Glaze
My grandmother used to make the best scones, but she never made them with pumpkin, which was always a tragedy in my mind. Cookie + Kate’s pumpkin pecan scones with that maple glaze look like the ideal pairing for your morning cup of coffee.

A cup of coffee, a slice of moist coffee cake, and the newspaper — this is exactly how I want to start every morning in bed. Closet Cooking’s pumpkin coffee cake can make that dream a reality this fall. Who’s ready to snuggle up with me?
