7 Times Biebz Was Such A Hopeless Romantic

It's been easy to hate on Justin Bieber for the last couple of years, because his punk attitude has overshadowed basically everything else about him. But more recently, his ongoing "apology tour" has shown more of the 21-year-old's softer side — the side that has his millions of fans and those rooting for him showing him support and love. Recently, he shed some tears on stage at the VMAs while performing his newest single, "What Do You Mean?" And now, in another wave of emotion, Justin Bieber is speaking out about having his heart broken. Hmm... I wonder who did the breaking?

While visiting The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia, Bieber explained why he is currently single, saying,

I haven't been in a relationship for a while now. I'm chilling and just hanging out. Just being by myself... I am a relationship type of guy, I love to be in love and I love cuddling and I love all of that kind of stuff but I got my heart broken and so I'm just going to let that heal up. I had a few beers guys, maybe I'm talking too openly?

Aww, Biebs.

In light of his admission, here are seven times Bieber was just a hopeless romantic, looking to give the world one less lonely girl.

1. When He Said It's OK To Spoil Your Girl

In his 2012 book, Just Getting Started , Bieber shared,

It doesn’t make you weak or any less of a man if you treat a woman with respect and spoil her a little bit. Remember guys, if your friends give you a hard time about being romantic it’s just because they don’t know how to treat their lady right.

2. When He Brought Up Princesses

In 2012, Bieber shared with Seventeen how he felt about spoiling his then-girlfriend, Selena Gomez: "I think it’s important to make all women feel like they’re princesses, because every girl is a princess... I’m serious."

3. When He Spoke About His New Album

In a conversation for Interview Magazine in July, Bieber was asked by Martha Stewart if his new album was romantic. He replied, "It’s just very personal. People will be able to really get in to where my heart is. It’s about my journey in life — stuff that I’ve been through. Maybe I can teach a lesson, certain things that are inspiring."

When asked if he was a good boyfriend in the interview above, he replied, "It's not hard to be a good boyfriend. You just have to be sweet."

6. When He Said He Got It From His Momma

In an interview with GulfNews in 2013, Bieber said,

I guess I grew up with my mom, so she influenced me a lot. So growing up and having your mom always around you, you become a sensitive guy. I think it's up to the guy to be romantic. I think it's the guy's responsibility to take her out. It can't be the other way around. That would take away my masculinity; I feel if that would happen ... I think that the most romantic things to do for someone are the things that you spend time on.

Definitely hopelessly romantic here, but maybe he should realize that a woman being romantic doesn't take away his masculinity...

7. When He Rented Out The Staples Center

They might have their issues now, but it the midst of their young love, Bieber rented out the Staples Center to take Gomez on a romantic date. If that's not impressive enough, they had a solo steak dinner and they watched a private screening of Titanic.

I am happy he is focusing on some positive changes in his career and life right now so he can truly let his immense talent shine. I have no doubt he will find the right lady for him along the way.
