Whoa! Get ready to have the wind knocked out of you, thanks to a celeb wearing quite a statement dress! While the actress is often gloriously grungy and a total "real girl" in jeans, flannels, sneakers, or boots, Kristen Stewart wore a ladylike, silver lace Chanel Haute Couture dress to the premiere of Equals at the Venice Film Festival.
Once again, the Kristen Stewart x Chanel combo is a winner. The former Bella Swan is no stranger to slaying the red carpet with a dress.
Stewart added a bit of edge to her silver Chanel frock, thanks to her choice of bordeaux lips. A wine-stained pout is always aces for the fall and this shade popped against the pewter-y hue of the dress.
But the fact that K. Stew's black arm tattoo was showing due to the elbow-length sleeves prevented this fancy dress from seeming too demure or too stuffy for the beautifully brooding and moody actress.
Yes, Stewart alternated between her signature red carpet scowl and a smile, the latter of which we don't see too often.
K. Stew has delivered some serious fashion wins in 2015, from her blue eyeliner-rimmed eyes on her Nylon cover to her girl boss velvet pantsuit, worn at the height of the summer season. But this Chanel dress might be the best of the bunch.
The dress had an ornate top and bottom. But I also love that the embroidered sleeves and the hem are shorter and a bit unusual.
The frock is oh-so-darling and almost Cinderella-like from behind.
The back has a deep V.
There is a bit of asymmetry to the hem.
You can appreciate the subtle details, like those shoulder straps.
Those berry-stained lips are everything. Her slicked back, wet-look do didn't compete with her lips or her dress.
The dress flows as she moves.
This is how you strut your stuff in priceless, metallic, majorly chic couture.
OMG! That is some serious heel height. Her mirrored stilettos were incredibly spiked and undoubtedly painful.
No wonder she ditched 'em.
Ah, there's her tattoo. It was almost like an armband accessory.
This, this is why I love her! Heels kill your feet. I know I want to burn my heels, no matter how sexy or how expensive, after an hour in 'em. This is usually me (and likely many of you!) after two hours, max, at a formal event.
I am glad Stewart is a kindred spirit for girls who love heels for their look yet hate heels for the pain they cause.
Notice all the edgy elements: ditched shoes, a tattoo, and red lips! K. Stew remains a badass, even in Chanel. She's such a rebel and I bow dow to her for that.
