'Dance Moms' Season 6 Needs To Be Like This
As rumors swell online about Dance Moms Season 6 cast changes (like how Maddie Ziegler and more cast members may be leaving), fans have the reality show — and its memorable moments — on the brain. With so much drama behind us, and a somewhat unknown future in front of us, Dance Moms Season 6 needs some things to ensure the show is just as awesome as always.
Season 5 barely ended, and fans are already excited about what the next season of the popular Lifetime series will bring us. We are totally jonesing for pointed toes, epic one-liners, delicious drama, and dance competitions. But, rumors about change are threatening the show we know and love. (I know Maddie is hugely successful, but she'll always be an ALDC girl to me.) Fortunately the rumors that coach Abby Lee Miller was leaving may prove false, as she's been advertising Season 6 casting calls on her social media.
Us fans just need to see Season 6 for ourselves, to put our minds at ease and see how everything shakes out. And, regardless of change, there are some old staples that make the reality show the classic that it is. Here are 6 things we need to see on Dance Moms Season 6!
1. Quotable Moments
Where would we be without Mackenzie Ziegler’s hilarious, “I just want to stay at home and eat chips.” or Abby Lee Miller’s famous zinger, “Those legs are about as straight as Elton John!”?
2. Abby Lee’s Antics
From telling children that they are replaceable, to asking judges to revoke trophies, to infamous chair throwing, Abby Lee Miller is reality TV fodder. What drama can she possibly get into next season? Short answer: A lot.
3. Feuds
With the mom component being a titular aspect of the show, Dance Moms is not short on mama drama — often with Miller, of course. Some brawls have gotten out of control in the past. But, arguments and fun back and forth make for good TV. I mean, there are worse things in life than being called “Christ-ee” or “Frumplestitskin.”
4. Childhood Angst
I love it when the kids on this show throw shade at the adults and act like kids, because, you know, they are! Sometimes they get sick of dancing and they often appear to care less than the moms about the competition.
5. We Need Maddie
Amid rumors of cast changes, Maddie Ziegler hasn’t totally committed to Season 6 publicly. She told MTV Australia she wasn't sure what her plans were. “I’m not sure what’s going to happen for Season 6. I don’t know if I’m going to do it or not, so it just depends,” she said. But, the show won't be the same without her, so I hope she returns!
6. Dance!
These girls are amazing, inspiring, and fun to watch. I can’t wait to see the choreography and costumes that season 6 has in store!
