So, About Last Night's 'Family Guy'...

by Martha Sorren

Thanks to a bit of Christmas magic, Family Guy brought the beloved Brian back from the dead. Stewie used a holiday wish which allowed him to go back in time and save his friend from being fatally hit by a car. "I don’t care about this stupid carnival or Christmas; I don’t care about anything but Brian," Stewie says about his canine companion. Many Family Guy fans felt the same. Since the fateful episode that killed Brian three weeks ago, fans have been in an uproar about losing the series regular. Last week he was even replaced in the theme song with Vinny the dog, which fans were not impressed by.

But it seems there was never anything to really worry about. Seth MacFarlane, who voices Brian wrote on Twitter, "I mean, you didn't really think we'd kill off Brian, did you? Jesus, we'd have to be f***ing high." MacFarlane then turned it into a lesson about counting our blessings writing: "And thus endeth our warm, fuzzy holiday lesson: Never take those you love for granted, for they can be gone in a flash."

The resurrection of the Griffin dog had Twitter talking, and while one person was a bit cynical about the return:

Most fans were overjoyed with the time-traveling holiday miracle:

And even MacFarlane took a moment to be sincere and thankful, the evening was truly a holiday miracle.
