Ne-Yo Is Engaged, But That's Not His Only Big News

Have you been wondering what Ne-Yo has been up to? If you have, that's not exactly the strangest thing in the world. Maybe you were out at a club and "Miss Independent" came on and you drunkenly tweeted, "For real tho where did neyo go? remember ms inepdenklst?" We've all been there, right? Well, drunk tweet no more, because I have your answer! Ne-Yo is engaged to girlfriend Crystal Renay. Woohoo! Way to go, Ne-Yo! But not only that, the couple is also expecting a baby together. Man, Ne-Yo's been busy!

On Monday, Aug. 31, Ne-Yo tweeted, "Clearing the air.. @mscrystalrenay and I are ENGAGED to be married next year. And yes we are expecting. #FromTheHorsesMouth." Well, that's straight and to the point. It had been rumored that the couple was already married, so it's no surprise that they'd want to set the record straight.

Ne-Yo and Renay, a model, have been together for a little over a year according to the Daily Mail. In addition to the singer's tweet, Renay posted a photo on her Instagram of herself with her new fiancé and confirmed the baby news herself. The caption for the pic reads, in part, "Our Miracle is on the way and I couldn't feel more blessed. You're [sic] negativity means nothing to us. We are happy, we've BEEN happy and will always be HAPPY no matter what they say."

The R&B singer is already a father and has two children with ex-fiancée Moynetta Shaw.

If, in 2016, you find yourself wondering again where Ne-Yo went, there's a good chance news of his and Renay's wedding could come out any moment. After all, they did let us know it's going to happen next year.
