Why Did Miley Hand Out Avocados After The VMAs?
Many interesting things went down at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. Nicki Minaj called out Miley Cyrus on stage, Kanye West smiled and danced along to The Weeknd, Taylor Swift was everywhere, and Miley Cyrus talked about weed... a lot. I definitely expected the latter, and Cyrus did a ton of crazy things during her time hosting, but it was something that happened after the show that still has me perplexed the next day. Miley Cyrus handed out avocados to the press after the VMAs, and I'm pretty sure I know why.
Avocados are probably my favorite thing in all the universe, so I appreciate when others share their undeniable goodness throughout the world. To keep with the over-the-top theme of this years VMAs, Cyrus rushed to the press area after the show and instead of answering the burning questions regarding the show, she simply asked if they wanted avocados, and well, she gave some to them.
It didn't take a lot of searching to realize that she probably did this because, one, it went along with her "I'm so high" theme, and two, she has always really loved avocados. Here are some other times Cyrus proclaimed her love for the other green gift from the gods.
When She Tweeted This Way Back When
Cyrus was just on the verge of her image change when she first shared her avocado love with her fans.
When Avocados Were More Important Than The Drought
Eh, this could be a little problematic, but it's obvious she's obsessed so it will take a lot to quit.
When She Sang To Them
I can't say I don't sing to myself, too, when I find the perfectly ripe avocado.
When The Love Was Forever
Yup, Cyrus got a tiny tattoo of an avocado on her arm.
When They Inspired Her To Wake Up
The 22-year-old doesn't need $10,000 to get out of bed, just avocados.
When She Rubbed It All Over Her Face
You mean avocados are good for the skin, too? Truly a magical fruit.
When She Wore Them On Her Body
Cyrus hung out with Baddie Winkle backstage at the VMAs wearing an all-over print of coconuts, watermelon, and of course, avocados.
Clearly, I need to step my avocado game up.
