Things change in life, but one thing remains the same: Pop stars and sequins always seem to go together well. Britney Spears 2015 VMAs dress was a sparkly, belly button-baring number and it called to mind the many, many other times that spears has rocked sequins, sparkles, and shiny things on the red carpet, in videos, and during performances. Brit Brit and sparkly things seem to go together very, very well. In fact, the more I think about it, the harder it is to recall moments when Spears was wearing something other than body hugging dresses encrusted with rhinestones and crystals. The pop star knows what works for her and, hey, I'm a big fan of the look.
Even though she seems pretty ageless at this point, Spears has been rocking sequined gowns for the last 15 years and then some. Feeling old yet? Me too. Spears proves that sequins, rhinestones, and glitter have no age limit, no criteria to be met that determines when they are appropriate and when they are not: Sparkle is for everyone, and sparkle is forever. And if there's an idea I can really, truly get behind, it's that one — that, and also just Britney Spears in general because #goals. Who said glittery has to be angelic? Brit took the sequins to the dark side here to match her hair color and, yes, it all looks amazing.

This might be my favorite sparkled gown on Britney yet. You've got to love the vintage feel of the dress paired with the soft waves. So pretty.
