6 Outfits Most Likely To Malfunction At The VMAs

With plunging necklines, tight bodysuits, and high slits, wardrobe malfunctions are more than likely on any red carpet. Luckily, except for one quickie issue, stars rocking the most revealing outfits at the VMAs have yet to suffer any serious outfit issues. #Praise for double sided tape, am I right?

Last year at the VMAs, however, the Internet was crazy abuzz with Nicki Minaj's wardrobe struggle. While the superstar was killing it in "Bang Bang" alongside Ariane Grande and Jessie J, she had to dramatically clutch the front of her dress pretty early on. Bummer, since their performance was so fierce! Fortunately, Minaj pulled through like the trooper she is.

Soon after, rumors started flying the Minaj had staged the whole wardrobe malfunction. TMZ even claimed eyewitnesses saw Minaj unzip the dress during rehearsals. Whatever the truth is, I'm just glad the past is behind us.

As for this year, the stars I've voted most likely to be grateful-and-a-half for double-sided tape include a pretty diverse set of ladies. Though all the stars' outfits are incredibly different, they definitely share the high-risk zone for wardrobe malfunctions. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that, since almost all of them managed to make it this far into the evening without issues, nothing else will happen!

1. Miley Cyrus

I feel like we all knew Cyrus would top this list, and the courageous songstress certainly lived up to expectations. Like, what happens when she moves or breathes in that? Surprisingly, though, this wasn't even the outfit that caused her actual wardrobe malfunction.

2. Chrissy Teigan

Teigan's dress has a lot of slits and a ton of sheer, meshy action. Hopefully nothing snags!

3. Lily Aldridge

Aldridge looks absolutely stunning, but dang, that neckline is a bold move.

4. Rita Ora

Ora's stunning fringe gown shows off all of her curves, but keeping everything in place is probably no easy task!

5. Nicki Minaj

Minaj's dress last year may or may not have come undone in the front, but this year it's definitely intentional.

6. Halsey

A U-shaped plunge neckline is a risky move but things for Halsey are working out so far!
