Emma Watson Is Back On The Red Carpet, Baby!
While she's made red carpet appearances here-and-there lately, Emma Watson is attending the promotional tour for her latest project, a film called Regression. And thankfully, Watson has already set the style bar high with the first stop in Madrid by wearing a gorgeous Christopher Kane skirt.
I'm sure traveling around the world over the span of a few weeks to promote your latest work can get a little tiring. But I'm beyond glad that Emma Watson is back and in style for the Regression promotion. Her last promotional tour was for the film Noah a little over a year ago, so her return to the spotlight is long over due. But after her first stop last night in Madrid, it's clear that Watson's style has not faltered with time and that her ensembles for the rest of the tour are only going to get better.
Who else could be more appropriate for Watson to wear other than one of her fellow Brits, designer Christopher Kane? Known for his colorful, creative designs, Kane is no stranger to dressing Watson, but we'll get to that later. What we need to talk about now, is how gorgeous this screen-printed skirt is. According to Watson's stylist, Sarah Slutsky, Kane did the printing by hand in his London studio. I doubt he would do that for just anyone, so it's clear Watson is a special customer.
She paired the beautiful skirt with a simple, sleeveless black blouse and a bow for a belt. Watson's girly yet cool style also shines through with her accessories. She wore a single cuff, a dainty necklace, and quite a few stud earrings, as well as a simple yet sophisticated pair of black suede heels. Looking effortlessly chic as always, Watson's look gets an A+.
Like I said before, Watson and Kane are no strangers to each other. Watson has stunned in Christopher Kane designs on the red carpet before, so this skirt only adds to the number of times they have collaborated. And I'm sure the number will keep growing, because frankly, these two seem like a match made in fashion-heaven.
So, in addition to the already gorgeous look you have seen, here are three other times Watson wore the designer and looked absolutely incredible. She looks so good, you'll think it's witchcraft!
Sorry, I had to.
1. Cannes Film Festival, 2013
On promotion for the film The Bling Ring , Watson rocked a two-piece Kane ensemble for her Cannes appearance. In a sleek, burgundy shade adorned with feathers, this crop top and skirt combo is pretty yet formal.
2. Party In NYC, 2010
Kane's designs are always innovative, as you can probably tell. So this lace and leather dress truly suits his style. With colorful lace on the top and bottom of this otherwise basic black leather shift dress, the dress is unique and pretty, while being tough and cool all at the same time.
3. Late Show With David Letterman, 2009
After years of Harry Potter premieres, it's clear that by 2009 Watson was making nearly perfect choices for her appearances. And this cream-colored, black piped dress by Kane exemplifies that.
