Mexico is about to get a lot more interesting. Mackenzie from Chris Soules’ season is joining Bachelor in Paradise, and she may be among the youngest contestants to ever appear on the show, period. That being said, her attitude while on The Bachelor wasn’t really that of a then-21-year-old. She always seemed more mature to me, and certainly more mature than fellow contestants like “My Story Is Beautiful” Kelsey and “Crying At The Drop Of A Hat” Ashley I. Maybe it was the fact that she was a single mother (to an adorable son named Kale), or maybe she was just an old soul for Chris Soules. Either way, I always liked her, and I’m glad to see her on Bachelor In Paradise. But, what has Mackenzie been doing since her time on The Bachelor ? ,
When she was with Chris and the gang, Mackenzie was kind of a floater. She did grab Chris’ attention, but I think her age, coupled with the fact that she had a child, kind of threw Chris off. Mackenzie didn’t cause any controversy, and I think that’s what helps keep people on the show longer. She was cut in week 5 with Kelsey and Ashley I. (victims of the dreaded two-on-one date), and I’m not even sure she got a proper rose ceremony, since Kelsey basically fainted in the middle of the thing to stall her elimination. Poor Mackenzie deserved a better send off.
But, no matter! The single mom has been keeping busy since the lights have dimmed on her reality television life. Let’s take a look at what she’s been up to.
Raising Her Cute Kid
Seriously, would you get a load of this little bean? Well, actually, he’s not a bean — he’s a green. Mackenzie’s son’s name is Kale, and boy, is he a little charmer. I imagine he keeps Mackenzie mighty busy.
Bringing Up A Big Dog
I am definitely a fan of big dogs, though I admit that they may not be for everyone. Who wants a dog the size of a horse? Me, apparently, and Mackenzie. Her black-and-white-speckled canine is one I’d happily invite over.
Hanging With Pals
A selfie stick, a boat, a sunset, and a group of your best pals? Sounds like the makings of a great evening to me.
Cleaning Teeth
She’s a dental assistant, which means Mackenzie polishes your chompers and then yells at people like me for not flossing. But, nicely, I bet.
Channeling Her Inner Entrepreneur
Don’t pigeonhole her just into cleaning teeth, y’all. Mackenzie is also trying her hand at jewelry making. I like her can-do attitude. If you can’t find something you like, make it yourself.
Contemplating Bachelor In Paradise
We know she was already on the show, but it seems like Mackenzie is still coming to terms with whatever the hell happened during her time there. I can’t wait to see this!
