ICYMI, the Golden Globe nominations were officially announced bright 'n early this morning in Los Angeles in a conference hosted by Olivia Wilde, Zoe Saldana, and Aziz Ansari. While there were also some snubs — namely, in the form of Mad Men's excellent sixth season not even getting one nomination (C'mon, Hollywood Foreign Press Association! You're better than that!) — there were also some wonderful surprises with the noms. For instance: Tatiana Maslany's Orphan Black talents finally getting recognized! (It's about time for that one.) Parks and Recreation getting a nod! Arrested Development! Greta Gerwig for Frances Ha! For every snub, there's a nomination that completely makes up for it.
All in all, everyone nominated this year truly deserved it, and it's already clear that this year's ceremony is really going to be a close race — especially in the best actor and actress categories. Everyone nominated, though, really does seem truly grateful (and, in Julia Louis-Dreyfus' case, hilariously charming) for the honor from the HFPA, judging by their reaction statements that are already being released through Twitter and PR statements.
We've got a few below for you right now, but keep checking back here for more as they come in.

I'm so surprised and excited and honored . . . I found out from a phone call, I was asleep. I didn't know that the nominations were announced today! I had read that you get a phone call really early in the morning and my phone rang and I thought I was in trouble so I ignored it and then got really anxious that I was in trouble. [Laughs] Then I looked at my phone and saw all these nominations — not nominations! Text messages, I only got one nomination! And that's how I found out. I'm verklempt, is that a word? Yes, I'm verklempt. It was totally a surprise, I feel like a cliche. I seem like I am acting too surprised! [via PopSugar]

What's wonderful about this nomination is that we started the journey a long time ago and it's so fantastic that people are supporting Nebraska.
