Vicki Gunvalson & Brooks Ayers Are Dunzo

Get out your tissues, Real Housewives of Orange County fans. The O.G. of the O.C. and her S.O. are officially D.O.A. That’s right: Vicki Gunvalson and her longtime beau Brooks Ayers are no longer an item. The couple have been dating on-and-off for the last four years, and their relationship has caused some serious upheavals on recent episodes of RHOC. The latest bout of drama will be featured on Monday night’s episode, in which a psychic apparently tells new housewife Meghan King Edmonds that Brooks doesn’t have cancer. (For those of you not in the know, Brooks’ reported stage-three cancer is why he and Vicki got back together again after their last breakup almost two years ago.)

I’m sure that only time will tell if this latest round of suspicion surrounding Brooks has anything to do with their latest breakup, but considering how their relationship has been at the center of countless fights on the show, I can only imagine how secretly happy some of the other Housewives will be. But who will be the most relieved? Not many of Vicky and Brooks' co-stars are huge fans of their relationship, so the race for who is probably going to be a tight one.

The couple gave the following statement to Us Weekly about their breakup:

After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other. We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths. Though the remaining episodes of Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will show us as a couple, the filming took place in January 2015 through May 2015. There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives. Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye, we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time.

So let’s mourn the loss of this relationship by reliving all of the bad blood Brooks has stirred up over the past seasons with the other Housewives, shall we? What better way is there to get over a rough breakup than to remind yourself of all of the flaws that made the relationship not quite work over the years? I’ve ranked the Housewives in order of who will be the most relieved that this relationship is finally over.

5. Shannon

Shannon and Vicki have been more than just kayak-tipping friends this season. Vicki is the only person Shannon initially told about her marriage troubles, which shows just how close these two have become. Because of their deep and genuine relationship, I doubt Shannon will find any reason to rejoice in her friend’s breakup.

4. Heather

Heather might have her suspicions about Brooks — she looks shocked in the teaser for Monday night’s episode, after Brooks’ cancer diagnosis is apparently questioned — but she and husband Terry have been friends with him from the beginning. Something tells me that Heather will be able to see the move as a good one if it’s the best for her friend, but she won’t be hating on Brooks anytime soon.

3. Meghan

Meghan doesn’t have any personal reasons to dislike Brooks, but considering how she’s the leader of the “Brooks May Not Have Cancer” party in the trailer for Monday night’s episode, something tells me she is going to be seriously relieved that Vicki has ended a relationship with someone who is clearly not trustworthy.

2. Tamra

Tamra has been trying hard to not badmouth Brooks lately, but her distaste for him runs deep. She’s been suspicious of the guy since the first time he showed up in Vicki’s life. She didn’t like how he always said all of the right things, and she didn’t like that he seemed to be living the high life ever since getting involved with Vicki. Her accusations against Brooks led to some of the biggest fights in RHOC history, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Tamra is secretly thrilled that the two have broken up again. She'll be sad for Vicki, sure, but otherwise totally tickled that Brooks is out of the picture again.

1. Briana

OK, so Briana is not exactly a Real Housewife, but she is one of the biggest stars of the show. And she is definitely the one who dislikes Brooks the most. She refused to let him in her mother’s house when she lived there with her husband and then-new baby, and she had a out-and-out brawl with Brooks during a reunion aired in 2013. Umm, yeah. I think it’s safe to say that Briana will absolutely be the happiest that the two have finally called it quits.

I hope for Vicki’s sake that she can find peace without Brooks. For two people who can’t seem to stay together or apart, it might just be the best thing for her.
