For most of us, making our beauty more festive for the holidays means glittery eyeshadows and bright red lipstick. But for Lady Gaga, it involves bleached dreads and Versace threads (to each her own, we say!).
Over the weekend at the 2013 Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball in London, the "Do What You Want" singer did what she wanted — she strutted down the red carpet in a custom starfish-studded Versace pantsuit, a lacy black bra, a gold seashell bib necklace, and, of course, a towering set of bleached dreads. In total Gaga fashion, it was apparent she was going for Christmas badass, cracking no smiles and only smizing at the paparazzi.
After the show, Gaga was spotted arriving back at her hotel room in an even more Christmassy outfit — a red dress, a green wig and an ornament-decorated tree on her head. She looked a bit like the female version of the Joker. Perhaps it was how she posed for the camera.
The last time Gaga was at Capital FM's Jingle Ball was in 2009, she opted for a, um, more traditionally inspired winter outfit in a clear bodysuit with white antlers. She reminisced about the moment on Twitter, sharing the memory with her little monsters.
Although this year's ensemble was a bit strange and unexpected, we kind of think Gaga can pull off the bleached blonde dread locks. It's obviously not permanent, but we hope she keeps the wig stored in her closet for another special holiday occasion.
