Brit Should Use Her Cameos For 'Jane' Inspiration

Not only is Britney Spears one of the biggest pop stars in the world, she's a multi-platform superstar who acts as well. Spears has made many TV and movie cameos over the years, but her latest role sounds amazing. Spears is set to guest star on the CW's Jane the Virgin.

Details on Spears' role are disappointingly scarce, although on Aug. 11 the singer tweeted, "See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! 🙈 Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue." Dreams are totally coming true for the Britney Army, as it's always exciting to see what her cameo will be.

Jane the Virgin's executive producer Jennie Synder Urman told TVLine, "We are so thrilled that Rogelio’s ‘nemesis’ — Britney Spears — has agreed to appear on Jane The Virgin in episode 205. Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud (from Rogelio’s point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears’ side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney."

Considering Spears' long list of guest starring roles in other TV shows and movies, she has a lot of inspiration from which to draw. While we still have to wait to get the full details on her character (sigh), here are seven of her previous cameos and the qualities that made them so great that she should emulate in her Jane the Virgin role.

1. Sabrina The Teenage Witch

Spears was wise beyond her years when she dished out advice in this amazing cameo.

2. Glee

Who better to cameo on a Britney-themed episode of Glee than Spears herself? Maybe she'll resume the cheerleader role on Jane the Virgin.

3. Will & Grace

Spears was full-on Southern belle on Will & Grace. Maybe she'll bring her genteel charm to this new role.

4. How I Met Your Mother

Spears played a hopeless romantic in How I Met Your Mother. That optimism would be charming on Jane the Virgin.

5. Kenan & Kel

Spears was lovely and polite on Kenan & Kel — until the duo sabotaged her hair. Here's hoping she plays into the slapstick side of her humor on Jane the Virgin.

6. All That

Spears teamed up with her younger sister Jamie Lynn for an All That cameo. Both sisters' comedic chops were fine-tuned for this bit.

7. Austin Powers: Goldmember

Spears brought the sultry factor to this dance-heavy scene in Goldmember. Maybe she'll bust out some moves on Jane the Virgin.
