As if I needed another reason to support and love this CW telenovela. On Tuesday, Britney Spears announced on Twitter that she will be guest-starring on Jane the Virgin this coming season. She posted, "See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue." Spears might consider this her dream come true, but after learning about her guest appearance and who she's playing, I'm pretty sure this is my dream come true, too.
So what role will the 33-year-old be taking? As JTV executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman confirmed Tuesday, Spears is playing Rogelio's nemesis. According to TV Line, Urman said, "We are so thrilled that Rogelio’s ‘nemesis’ — Britney Spears — has agreed to appear on Jane the Virgin in episode 205. Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud (from Rogelio’s point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears’ side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney"
See? Dream. Come. True. Can you imagine the greatness that is going to be showcased on the small screen between Spears and Rogelio? A lot of diva moments are going to happen. It will be glorious, people.
Just like Spears and pretty much every other JTV fan, Camil can't wait to act with Spears. Oh, and Rogelio also appears to be pumped — for all the wrath.
