Our Favorite Britney Spears Magazine Covers

by Sara Tan

Britney Spears is InStyle's January cover girl, and in case you were wondering, she looks totally amazing. But we're not surprised — Spears has been spending a lot of time getting into shape, thanks to her new show at Planet Hollywood in Vegas. Last week on Ellen, she shared that it's "probably the hardest show I've ever done."

On the January issue, Spears is glowing in a strapless Dior ensemble and sporting her signature blonde locks. InStyle promises readers a high-fashion spread where the recently-turned 32-year-old will be wearing pieces from designers like Helmut Lang and Jason Wu.

In addition to looking gorgeous, Spears also makes some beauty confessions, namely that she's had lip injections before. According to Hollywood Life, the superstar was talking about her beauty regimen when she revealed her not-so-secret secret:

"A doctor I see, [Beverly Hills plastic surgeon] Dr. [Raj] Kanodia, does fun stuff to me sometimes — I’ve had lip injections before. He has this peptide-based face-care product; it’s green and slimy, and you mix it together and put it on your face. It does wonders. You leave it on overnight. Can you tell I love skin care?"

This isn't the first time Spears has graced the cover of the fashion mag: she struck a pose for InStyle back in 2002. To be honest, we think she looks even better now!

In honor of Spears' upcoming InStyle issue, we're taking a look back at her best cover star looks from the past. Here are three of my favorites:

Britney Spears on Esquire

In 2003, Spears gave her best Angie Dickinson impression, donning a white sweater and white pumps, and nothing else. She looked chic, yet sexy — a look we weren't used to seeing from the nude-spandex-wearing starlet.

Britney Spears on Cosmogirl!

This cover brings us WAY back. Remember when Brit rocked a wavy lob with dark roots and we all wanted to do the same? Remember Cosmogirl!? So many emotions and so much love for this cover.

Britney Spears on Rolling Stone

When you think of Britney Spears, a few images instantly pop into your head — this iconic cover from 1999 is probably one of them. This marked one of the first controversial moments for the rising star and although it may have been a bit racy, we loved every bit of it, even the teletubby.
