HBO’s 'Westworld' Teaser Will Give You Chills

Summer is winding down, which means we get our first look at new shows coming to TV this season. One series on my radar is J.J. Abrams' Westworld , a sci-fi Western airing on HBO. We've been collecting intel on the new series since last winter, but now we can finally get our first look at the debut season, courtesy of the first Westworld teaser.

As Bustle previously reported, the Westworld cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Miranda Otto, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Angela Sarafyan and Simon Quarterman.

So how will all of these characters come together? According to its IMDB page, Westworld , which is based on Michael Crichton's 1973 film, is about "a robot malfunction creates havoc and terror for unsuspecting vacationers at a futuristic, adult-themed amusement park."

Although it's only 30 seconds, the Westworld teaser is downright creepy. In less than a minute, it manages to show a fly-speckled Evan Rachel Wood, a self-playing piano and what appears to be a skeleton. However, the teaser is successful in doing just that — creating enough intrigue to leave us wanting more.

Trouble, trouble, trouble.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a couple more months to find out exactly what that is.
